As I tried to tune into a number of international football matches on the weekend I quickly realised that sport organisations and their broadcasters are making it unnecessarily hard for fans to be part of the live action. - Ensure clear steps, links and key details are in prominent places across ALL owned channels.
3. Pull in ALL your fans
- Don’t forget about fans abroad. Promote international schedules (& time zones) or publish streams on Twitch or You Tube (and geo-block if necessary). 4. Access real-time highlights
- Ensure access to real-time clips in any broadcast contracts so you can distribute key moments on your own channels. 5. Make Broadcasters your teammates
- Include distributors in your marketing plan and ensure they promote and push vital information on their channels.
